| What is "cute" to teens these days (Like say Justin Beiber as example)- Can you define "cute" to me? What makes a boy cute to you? Am I the only one who looks at like this and hear me through (sorry to be wordy) but- Cute to me seems to be this concept whereas you look like the majority... For example, is it not fair to say the mainstream media has some large impact particularly in the teen stage of life where it plants the seed in our heads of what's cute and what's ugly. Cute to me seems to be looking like the majority of the human race based on the examples I see teens these days pointing to. I'm sorry - but if you think Justin Beiber looks amazingly unique your sorely mistaken- I see TONS and I repeat TONSSSS of guys who look just like him. Sure they lack the hollywood dazle effects ala the hairdressers, the clothes etc- but my point being that a LOT of guys have the potential to look like their favorite stars etc... Face structure in large seems to play a large role in cute factor. So therefore- What's ugly is having a unique face structure? This to me is kinda confusing to wrap your head around- So same is cute, different is ugly. Following trends is hott, Being different is often viewed as wierd? Seeing a pattern hear? Is it just me who finds what you call "ugly" people to be fascinating- One can be different in personality and one can be different in appearance- Shouldn't having both be a blessing rather than looked down upon? Who are WE to define people- We all have the same organs, the same basic structures etc... Yet we look down upon one another far to often for our differences... Ya know call me crazy but I think when I see someone who looks different, who thinks different, who just is plain different- They really catch my eye- They really open up my senses to life more- They really make a larger impact on my life versus someone of the stale, sameness variety which you see left and right ya da da. I mean this isn't to say I hate what you call cute people- but rather, I just wanted to twist this cute and ugly concept around a little to get you thinking- If a unique face structure and this bizare train of thought makes me a wierdo ugly duckling well then thumbs up to me! | Interesting train of thought you have. My theory is that simple people prefer unchallenging faces; faces that are lacking in personality and individuality. | It's a great idea, but one of the posters is right- the new law went into effect Feb. 1 saying that ALL items sold and marketed to guyren 12 and under must be tested for lead on every single item (even if it's a duplicate) and it includes resale shops, retail and home craft businesses aimed at guyren. I think they did ammend the law to allow resale shops an exemption on this but you may want to check in your area because it may not be an all over thing regarding resale. Resale items are fine if they are new or like new condition and still in style. I would avoid taking things like car seats though (you have no guarantee if they were in an accident or out dated) and I would also avoid taking in any kind of hygiene item or items that are used in infants mouths (bottles, teethers, pacifiers etc..). Shoes are something alot of places recommend NOT buying because they have conformed to the foot of the previous wearer and can cause arch problems by reusing them in resale. Toys are something I never accept second hand. Like someone else said, they may be lead or recall hazards and they are usually filfthy and not cared for properly. Guyren's clothing (pants, shorts, dresses/skirts, tops, shirts, pjs) things that are clean, free of damage or stains and are in new or like new condition would sell great. Other things that would sell great? Clean, nice crib linen like crib blankets, bumpers and crib skirts (dust ruffles). Toys along the line of exersaucers that are clean, have all the parts and are in working condition, free of damage are things that resell well but I would avoid stuffed animals and other smaller sized toys all together. Guyren's formal wear (such as for weddings or dressy occassions) also resell great because people look for bargains on those since most times they only wear it once and it's obsolete to them. We basically clashed on every subject imaginable and argued over everything...definitely immediate friend territory.Then we all sat down and took a break. My friend sat next to her guy, and I didn't know if I should sit next to "mine", so I didn't. Then the guys went back out onto the ice and my friend and I stayed sitting for a while. Before they went, my friend's guy gave her his jacket. Then(probably out of obligation) "my" guy gave me his.When my friend and I went back onto the ice, things kinda changed! | I really like this boy? Hey, i'm in Year 9, (age 13) and so is this boy. Lets call him Boy #1. I used to like another boy (Boy #2), but Boy #2 never talked to me. He only started sort of talking to me a few months ago, but recently he stopped, and he's not really nice to me anyway. I think you should very subtly drop the fact that you like him more than a friend in a conversation, and see how it goes from there, or if you don't feel that comfortable yet, get to know him a little better then do it!
